Gun Safe Reviews by Jake | LockSAF biometric fingerprint safe

Ok I decided to redo my previous one star review of this safe. I think I jumped to conclusions as the manufacturer helped me out enormously. I had a malfunctioning safe and before I called the manufacturer I had already left a bad review. My problem with the unit was that it would not open until after 5 swipes of my finger and I just (wrongfully) assumed that it was a bad product. When I got to my senses I realized that with any product, there may be a rotten apple in the bunch. Btw, I’ve gotten this from Amazon so the shipping was free but I had to do business with the manufacturer myself.

Anyway, the manufacturer immediately replaced my safe after listing to my complaints and I must say that the new unit is worth all five stars! It responds fast and almost always on the first try (keep the glass clean!).

Ok so for the actual review: I have this unit installed on the middle shelf of my bedroom closet. It sits at waste level and allows me to quickly scan my fingerprint in case I need to get to the gun fast. The response time is great, not instantly but with a second delay. Basically the biggest reason for getting this safe is to be able to get to the gun even when my heart is beating like crazy and adrenaline rushing. No need to find keys, no need to remember combinations. Also, it keeps my kids clear from my handguns and allows my wife to access them in addition to myself.

The programming is very easy, it takes a minute per finger. In the case of failure to open the safe you can use keys as a backup. Needless to say, you need to keep those keys well separated from the safe (not in it). The power consumption is pretty low, I have used this particular unit for over 6 months now and I measured the voltage level of the 9V battery, it is still a comfortable 9,3V.

Anyway, all in all I feel that my last review was totally missing the boat and I hope I redeemed myself with this update. I highly recommend this unit for all that are looking for a quick, safe and heavy unit to store their guns in. I recommend you go and read some more gun safe reviews to make sure you’ll get the one you want.
